It started with a dream — and a whole lot of dedication. In 1976, Jack and Pat Bertram set out to build something of their own: a pizza place rooted in quality, real flavor, and doing things the right way. They spent nearly nine months perfecting their recipe before ever opening the doors of the very first Stuft Pizza in Cerritos, California. That dedication showed. The original takeout-only pizzeria quickly built a loyal following, one pizza at a time. As word spread, so did Stuft Pizza — new locations followed, and in 1986, Jack and Pat took their dream even further, launching franchising to share their vision with communities beyond Cerritos.
Fast forward five decades, that same dream is still what drives every pizza and customer experience at Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill. More than 20 years ago, the family decided to open an expanded "Bar & Grill" concept featuring much more than great pizza. John Bertram, Jack and Pat's son, has been operating the two Coachella Valley locations in Old Town La Quinta and The Shops in Palm Desert for 22 and 12 years respectively. We pride ourselves in energetic local restaurants that have something for everyone.

Stayed in town for a couple days and on our last night we stopped in for some very delicious pizza. It was amazing, our server was very welcoming and friendly, always on task with refilling beverages, also made sure everything we ordered met our expectations, we sat outside nice and cozy surrounded by heaters, the patio was very clean, and the view of the stars was absolutely amazing.
I love coming here. I have been for years. Took my mom to lunch and we shared the fried green beans. I got a stuft taco beer battered fish. Crispy and very tasty. It's like two tacos in one because of the size. Can't wait to go back again.
Love going to Stuft Pizza in La Quinta. Friendly, professional support staff and the food is really good. Happy hour is a must! We visit every time we visit the area.
Stuft Pizza is great pizza spot in La Quinta for the whole family. The wait gets long, so use the virtual waitlist on the website. I'd say to definitely order the fried green beans as they were delicious. Pizza is great and toppings are generous. We didn't order dessert but we saw a few tables getting some kind of triple layer ice cream cake and it looked amazing.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The service is very good. The gluten free brownie is absolutely delicious. We will return.
